IASLT are seeking nominees for two sub groups of the National Stroke Programme.

1.HSCP Stroke Register:

The National Stroke Programme Working Group has responded to significant number of requests from HSCPs working in stroke for inclusion of HSCP data on the National Stroke Register made between its inception (initially piloted in 2011) and now. The overall register has been reviewed and updated and a subgroup to review HSCP data items was established in 2016. The data items are currently being piloted.

The current IASLT representative is stepping down, and the association are seeking a replacement representative. Full handover will be available.

Nominees should have experience in working in the clinical area of stroke.

Beneficial experience includes:

-Experience in working in acute stroke care

-Experience of representing the SLT profession in multidisciplinary forums, or at a national level

 

2.Mood and Stroke Subgroup

The National Stroke Programme Working Group has commenced a subgroup looking at the important aspect of mood and stroke. In order to completely represent the needs to people post stroke, including those with communication difficulties which may impact mood, and SLT representative for this group is sought.

This is a new group, there is no current SLT representative.

Nominees should have experience in working in the clinical area of stroke.

Beneficial experience includes:

-Experience of representing the SLT profession in multidisciplinary forums, or at a national level
