Have you worked with a child with developmental verbal dyspraxia (DVD) in Ireland? Would you be willing to take part in research on how SLT services should be provided for children with DVD?
You may have seen the interview with IASLT Chair, Vickie Kirkpatrick and Parent, Evelyn Byrne on Ireland AM in May, highlighting the difficulties parents of children with DVD in Ireland face in getting proper service provision for them.
The University of Limerick are now looking for SLTs who have any experience of treating children with DVD to take part in a research project aimed at producing a position paper, together with IASLT, UCC, parents of children with DVD, and you, outlining optimal speech and language therapy service provision for children with DVD in Ireland.
Please take part in our on-line survey at https://unioflimerick.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9tsndGZogfg51MV. We need your responses, even if you have only ever treated one child with DVD.
We are also looking for SLTs to take part in an interview, face to face or by Skype. If you would be willing to be interviewed, please contact Dr Aileen Wright at the School of Allied Health, University of Limerick, on firstname.lastname@example.org, or on
