All SLTs registered with CORU must engage in a range of CPD activities on an on-going basis and maintain an up to date CPD portfolio. There are numerous CPD activities and learning opportunities recognised by CORU that are integral to facilitating a student SLT placement. For example: ‘active engagement in supervision and mentoring’; ‘involvement in student practice education and providing placements’; ‘training on placement grading tools and overall assessment of students’; or ‘reading and reflecting on literature or case studies.
