Adult Communication SIG

The Adult Communication Special Interest Group (SIG) is a network for all SLTs interested and working in adult communication. The SIG rebranded in 2023 previously know as Acquired Communication Disorder SIG. Since the relaunch the group has been busy with various CPD and peer support sessions.

 

Adult Intellectual Disability SIG

The Adult Intellectual Disability (AID) Special Interest Group (SIG) is a collective of SLTs supporting adults with Intellectual Disability in Ireland. The SIG has been running for over 10 years and seeks to provide support and practical continuous professional development to our members.

 

Criminal Justice System SIG

The Criminal Justice System Special Interest Group (SIG) is a group of SLTs working to develop awareness of work going on around the country and identify who is working out there in the area of criminal justice.

 

Cleft SIG

The Cleft Special Interest Group (SIG) group aims to provide training and CPD opportunities for speech and language therapists, and to promote equity of access about evidence-based assessment and intervention.

 

Deaf/ Hard of Hearing SIG

A group of SLTs who are interested in working with children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Some members work full-time with deaf people, or work with deaf people occasionally and wish to keep up to date with developments in the field.

 

Developmental Language Disorder SIG

The DLD SIG aims to increase interest in and knowledge of DLD in Speech and Language Therapists throughout Ireland. We promote mutual support, encouragement and continued professional development for our members.

 

Mental Health SIG

The Mental Health Special Interest Group (SIG) group aims to provide training and CPD opportunities for speech and language therapists.

 

Research SIG

IASLT RESSIG (Research Special Interest Group) are a group of clinicians and academics driving clinical research in the Speech & Language Therapy profession in Ireland.

 

SEA (Supporting Emotions with Asphasia) Interdisciplinary Community of Practice

The SEA Community of Practice (CoP) is an innovative interdisciplinary collaboration of like-minded professionals who want to improve access to psychological support for people with aphasia.

 

Stammering SIG

The Special Interest Group in stammering is a group of Speech and Language Therapists who have an interest in stammering and cluttering, and work in a variety of different services.

 

Voice SIG

The Voice SIG provides a welcoming platform for Speech and Language Therapists with an interest in voice to explore and share CPD, ideas on therapy techniques and reflect on current voice assessment/ treatment trends.
