Thank you very much for taking the time to read this message! Our names are Kirsty Lohan and Sophie Morley, and we are currently studying Speech and Language Therapy in University College Cork (UCC).

For our undergraduate final year project, we are conducting an anonymous online survey to investigate how confident Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists working in Ireland feel with regards to the various aspects of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) service provision (for example: choosing assessments, training families, etc.). We would like to invite you to participate in our research study, which we are conducting under the supervision of Professor Nicole Müller and Ms. Emma Gleeson, Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, UCC.

Further details about the project can also be found in the information sheet attached below. This is a once-off survey, and we anticipate that it should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.

We would be very grateful if you would share the survey link with other colleagues you feel would be interested in participating, and encourage them to do the same. We will send a reminder email four weeks after this initial email, and once again in the week before the survey closes.  

Please note that participation in this project is completely voluntary, and should you choose to do so, you can refuse to answer specific questions, or decide to withdraw from the study prior to completing the survey, and your response will not be recorded. We are not collecting any identifying information (such as: IP addresses, emails, work addresses, or names). Once you have submitted your response, your data can no longer be withdrawn, because the survey is anonymous.
